Briar Flicker-Grossman received her Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University in 1986. Her internships were at Albert Einstein Hospital's In-Patient Psychiatry unit and Gouveurneur Hospital's Out-Patient Mental Health Clinic.
Subsequently, she worked and received post-graduate training at Hawthorne Cedar Knolls Residential Treatment Center and the Queens Child Guidance Center both located in New York.
In 1992 Mrs. Flicker-Grossman was certified as a Bradley Childbirth Educator and incorporated childbirth education and coaching into her practice. By 2005 Mrs. Flicker-Grossman received a post-graduate certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Psychoanalytic Center of California in Los Angeles, and completed two years of training in ontological communication through Landmark Education, also in Los Angeles, in May of 2009.
Currently, she is working toward receiving her doctorate in Psychoanalysis at the internationally recognized Psychoanalytic Center of California in Los Angeles, where she also served as the Candidate President from 2012-2014.
